Tōa Shinpō / 東亜新報, (Shijiazhuang, China)
The Tōa Shinpō was published as “the Japanese policy newspaper in North China” at the request of the Japanese Northern China Area Army in Japan-occupied Beijing and other places in North China from July 2, 1939 until 1945. The Sekimon (Shimen) edition was published by Sekimon branch in present-day Shijiazhuang, Hubei province. The Japanese army and Kōain established the publisher Tōa Shinpōsha, which acquired the existing publishers Pekin Shinbunsha and Shin Shina Nichinichi Shinbunsha. It prominently featured news articles dispatched by the national agency Dōmei Tsūshin. Its Joshū edition was succeeded by the Joshū Tairiku Shinpō, after the military administration of the area changed from the Japanese Northern China Area Army to the Central China Area Army.
