Hokubei Jiji / 北米時事 [The North American Times], (Seattle, WA)

Hokubei Jiji Masthead

Hokubei Jiji, established in 1902 in opposition to Shin Nippon, which was published by the Japanese Associations (Nihonjinkai), became one of the most influential newspapers in the Japanese community in Seattle. Many issues, however, have yet to be located.

『北米時事』は日本人会発行の『新日本』に対抗する形で1902年に創刊され、シアトルの在米日本人、日系人社会に影響力のある新聞に成長した。しかし、現在、その多くの号の行方が分からなくなっている。
