Japanese-American Courier, (Seattle, WA)

The first all-English newspaper was published by James Sakamoto, primarily for Nisei Japanese Americans. The paper advocated assimilation into American society, a different perspective from that of their Issei parents. Sakamoto later became one of the founders of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL).
ジェームス・サカモトが主に日系二世を対象に、画期的な全紙英字の新聞を発刊した。同紙は米国社会への同化を唱え、一世の親世代と異なった視点を示した。サカモトはのちに日系アメリカ人市民同盟(JACL)の創始者メンバーとしても活躍した。
